DeltaStream Raises $15M to Advance Serverless Real-Time Stream Processing

DeltaStream, a serverless stream processing platform, has secured $15 million in Series A funding from New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Galaxy Interactive, and Sanabil Investments. The funds will help DeltaStream accelerate its vision of creating a comprehensive platform to manage and process real-time streaming data from any source.

With the growing importance of real-time data in AI and data-driven industries, platforms like Apache Kafka have become essential. DeltaStream simplifies the complexities of stream processing, allowing businesses to build real-time applications using SQL in minutes.

Founded by Hojjat Jafarpour, creator of ksqlDB, DeltaStream leverages Apache Flink while offering a user-friendly platform for companies of all sizes.

The platform is available as a fully managed service or a bring-your-own-cloud (BYOC) option. Jafarpour highlighted DeltaStream’s ability to simplify infrastructure management, enabling customers to focus on building applications rather than dealing with operational challenges.

DeltaStream integrates with popular platforms like Databricks and Snowflake, allowing customers to create real-time pipelines that seamlessly move data from streaming platforms like Apache Kafka to these systems.

NEA partner Aaron Jacobson noted that DeltaStream eliminates the complexity of Apache Flink, making real-time applications more cost-effective and quicker to develop. Jeff Brown, Galaxy Interactive Partner, praised DeltaStream’s enterprise-grade solution, emphasizing its ability to provide low-latency, scalable stream processing while reducing the burden of managing infrastructure.
