Crypto hardware wallet maker Ledger partners with PayPal

Hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger has joined forces with payment giant PayPal to enable users to purchase cryptocurrencies within the Ledger Live app using their PayPal accounts. The partnership aims to streamline the process of buying and storing cryptocurrencies securely.

Through the Ledger Live app, individuals can purchase cryptocurrencies using fiat currency and store them directly in their hardware wallets. With the integration of PayPal, users can link their PayPal accounts without requiring additional verification steps.

Ledger’s CEO, Pascal Gaithier, highlighted the collaboration’s focus on enhancing security and simplifying crypto transactions. The partnership aims to combine Ledger’s robust security measures with PayPal’s established payment technology.

Currently, Ledger Live offers several cryptocurrencies for purchase in the United States, including bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), bitcoin cash (BCH), and litecoin (LTC).

This development underscores PayPal’s ongoing efforts to expand its presence in the cryptocurrency space, further integrating digital assets into its services.
