Disney CEO Bob Iger ‘Should Be Fired Immediately’- Elon Musk

Elon Musk, the outspoken CEO of X, took to the platform to express his strong opinion about Disney CEO Bob Iger, stating that he “should be fired immediately.” In a series of posts on X, Musk criticized Iger and suggested that Walt Disney would be unhappy with what Iger has done to the company.

The comments come in the midst of a controversy involving X and a number of major advertisers. Last month, Musk endorsed an antisemitic conspiracy theory on the platform, leading to a wave of advertisers, including Microsoft, Airbnb, Coca-Cola, IBM, and Disney, pulling or freezing their ads on X.

At the 2023 DealBook Summit in New York last week, Musk openly expressed his frustration with former advertisers who had withdrawn their support, telling them to “Go f–k yourself.” He specifically called out Bob Iger during the event, and Iger later explained Disney’s decision to stop advertising on X, citing concerns about the association with Musk and the platform.

Musk’s latest X posts included memes mocking Disney’s recent box-office disappointments. The X CEO has been vocal about potential challenges facing the platform, including the risk of failure due to decreased advertising revenue and heightened competition.

The online spat between Musk and Iger adds another chapter to their ongoing feud. Musk misspelled Iger’s name in several posts, accusing him of condoning advertising next to inappropriate content.

The X posts coincided with news that New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez filed a civil lawsuit against Meta and Mark Zuckerberg’s platforms, alleging that they are not safe spaces for children and lack effective age verification.

Musk and Zuckerberg have a history of public disagreements, with their feud even reaching the point of a proposed cage fight.
